Hohenfels Castle is placed in a picturesque region near Lake Constance (Bodensee) 40 km north of the Swiss border, known for its scenic landscapes and rich cultural history. The Castle has more than 700 years of history.
With their consistent ecological approach, they wanted to set new standards for hotels and conference centers.
This starts with avoiding plastic as much as possible, continues with furnishings that are almost exclusively made of antiques (no new deforestation), or with the best organic products for the bathroom, and ends with the planning of a combined heat and power plant with a wood chip system.
Your health and theirs was so important to them that they decided not to give the hotel a star rating.

Von Stockach in Richtung Pfullendorf. Sie passieren die Dörfer Winterspüren und Mahlspüren im Tal. Nachdem Sie Mahlspüren verlassen haben, biegen Sie die nächste Möglichkeit nach rechts ab. Danach geht es links den berghoch direkt zum Schloss (Schild „Schloss Hohenfels“ folgen).
Von Überlingen:
Fahren Sie Richtung Owingen und passieren Sie die Dörfer Billafingen und Seelfingen. Nach dem Ortsende von Seelfingen geht es an der „Neumühle“ rechts den Berg nach oben (Schild „Schloss Hohenfels“ folgen).
Schloss Hohenfels blickt auf eine mehr als 700-jährige Geschichte zurück.
Mit ihrem konsequenten ökologischen Ansatz wollten sie neue Maßstäbe für Hotels und Konferenzzentren setzen.
Das beginnt mit der weitestgehenden Vermeidung von Plastik, setzt sich fort mit einer Einrichtung, die fast ausschließlich aus Antiquitäten besteht (keine neue Abholzung), oder mit den besten Bio-Produkten für das Badezimmer, und endet mit der Planung eines Blockheizkraftwerks mit Hackschnitzelsystem.
Ihre Gesundheit und die der Gäste war ihnen so wichtig, dass sie beschlossen, dem Hotel keine Sterne zu geben.
Hello, greetings from my heart to yours.
My name is Anja Schäfer and I am the organizer of the Christos-Sophia Conference.
For me, the Christos-Sophia Conference is the most “sacred” of all the events I have organized so far. Sacred in the sense of “inner,” “divine,” “mystical,” “true.”
The intention of this event is to open up a space where the experience of our innate Divinity is as present and tangible as possible.
LOVE is the source of creation.
Love makes the heart of every sentient being beat and flows through the entire existence.
The vision of this gathering is to support the remembrance and joyful celebration of our existence as divine children of an omnipresent loving, wise presence while at the same time be deeply connected with our Divine Mother, the Living Earth.
In its essence, life is light, playful, and free. This forgotten truth needs to be restored from deep within – it cannot be given from the outside.
The title “Christos-Sophia” originates from my own mystical experience of Inner Union and refers to the balance between inner masculine divinity and inner feminine divinity in union with the Divine.
In the end, it’s all energy experiencing itself in multiple emanations and expressions.
I am very much looking forward to welcoming you to Hohenfels Castle for our heavenly-earthly event.
